Google is working on it’s own tablet with HTC

after the success launched of apple ipad, Now every one is talking about tablet and now there is news that Google and HTC also working on there on Tablet,according to the New York Times.

there is also news from some days that Google will use Chrome OS to run Google tablet but now today New York Times reported that Google tablet will use android OS, It isn’t clear if they will just run plain old Android 2.1 for example, on the tablet where everything is just spaced out more on the screen, or if a specific Android Tablet Edition OS will be made.

Airtel and HTC to sell HTC Smart mobile in India

After the announcement of apple iphone with Airtel now today HTC and Bharti Airtel have officially announced the HTC Smart, which reportedly “marks HTC’s strategic focus on India.”

Based on Qualcomm’s Brew Mobile platform, the HTC Smart is a really affordable handset that features a 2.8 inch QVGA display, Sense UI, HTC Friendstream (integrating Facebook, Twitter and Flickr), HTML browser, push email, 3.5mm headset jack, FM radio, 3.2MP camera, MicroSD card support, and 3G.

The HTC Smart should be available via Airtel in 30 major cities across India, as well as at authorized HTC dealers. The phone’s price, as we already said, is a low one: only 9,990 INR (which currently means about $222)

But now here is Good news is that A developer over at htcpedia seems to have successfully ported Microsoft’s upcoming mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7 Series, to the HTC HD2,Thanks to Tom Codon of HTCPedia who has posted screenshots which shows off the device running an early build of Windows Phone OS 7.0.

Tom says almost everything is working Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth, almost everything except bad graphics driver causing time lag on device,A beta version is planned for release soon.

Sprint has announced the first Android based 4G phone called HTC EVO 4G, The phone sports a WVGA, 4.3-inch TFT touchscreen;a Snapdragon 1GHz processor, 1GB of memory, and 512MB of RAM. By the time you add an 8 megapixel camera with flash, 720p video, 1.3 megapixel camera in the front, HDMI output, and an included 8GB microSD card.

Google India will bring Mini version of Nexus One

The Internet giant Google is planning to launch a ‘mini’ version of Nexus One which will be pocket friendly. The executives of Google India head Mr. Shailesh Rao told CNBC TV 18 representative Mr. Ankit. After an editorial meet with Google India Head, Mr. Ankit informed this via a tweet on twitter.

“Nexus One will not come to India in its US avatar, the India specific Google Phone may be a stripped down version and priced lower!”

Google is targeting to capture a niche in Indian smart phone market and its main aim to offer the phones at affordable price. As for now Nokia and Blackberry are favorite among the users while Apple iPhone lost its place due to its steep price.

Verizon to allow unlimited Skype calling over 3G starting next month

MWC 2010: HTC Legend, HTC Desire and HTC HD Mini announced

At MWC 2010 HTC announced 3 Phone HTC Legend, HTC Desire and The company also announced the HTC HD mini, a Windows Phone based on the HTC HD2 design.

Built around a newly enhanced HTC Sense, the HTC Legend boasts a unique design with a smooth, continuous surface, machined from a single aluminum block into a compact frame. To complement its looks, the HTC Legend includes a 3.2 inch, AMOLED HVGA display. The traditional trackball has also been replaced with an optical joystick, surrounded by a narrow button to improve usability without interrupting its design.

HTC Desire offers a rich way to visually experience news, friends, photos, favourite places and whatever else is important on a mobile phone. With one of the most advanced displays available on a phone today, HTC Desire is designed with a large 3.7 inch AMOLED WVGA display to enhance and maximise content, whether it is pictures and videos, browsing the Web or checking on friends? status updates. How to Install A2SD2 in HTC Hero with MoDaCo ROM

A2SD2 aka Apps2SD2 is an addon for Android phones that allow you to install apps in your SD card. by default there is no option in HTC Hero and other Android phones to install apps in your SD card.

MoDaCo ROM and some other custom ROMs available already have A2SD2 and all you have to do is enable and get it working. You can get the MoDaCo ROM on your HTC Hero by first rooting and then installing it.

Just follow the simple steps to get A2SD2 working on your phone.

  • Backup your SD card on your PC.
  • Boot your phone into recovery mode.
  • Now depending on whatever recovery image you’re using, choose Partition SD (ext2)
  • Reboot the phone now and transfer all your SD card files back to it.

Google Nexus One Hands On

As the launch date of Google Nexus One is approaching, more details are emerging about it. Tnkgrl Mobile claims that she had a chance to has hands on with Nexus One/Google Phone, she shares quite a few details/specs about the device and its operation, most noticeable one is that Nexus One don’t support multitouch, not atleast in the two apps she tried (Browser and Google Maps).


Multitouch feature in Nexus One is little ambiguous, as both the hardware(HTC) and OS(Android) of phone fully support multitouch functionality, it’s also possible that multitouch feature may or mayn’t be available on handsets being sold in US, like Motorola released separate version of Motorola Driod for European countries and other countries, European version of Droid also don’t support multitouch functionality.


Due to some agreement, she was not allowed to capture video or picture of the phone, but she has confirmed the following hardware specs of the unit she tested.

  • Nexus One is extremely thin, thinner than Droid and iPhone 3GS.
