The Most Interesting Facebook Updates Launched in 2013

Facebook came up with some really special features in 2013. Some were liked and some were hated. In 2013 Facebook mainly focussed on the mobile platform with a special emphasis on photos and search. Also it brought some needed changes such as correcting spelling mistakes or some other error before someone else pointed and ability to edit the status.

Despite Facebook not having more credit in to chat app as compare to Whatsapp, it did improve its chat feature with the introduction of Stickers. Let us look back at the top six features Facebook past year.

Graph Search

Facebook’s find anything functionality received a much-needed improvement across all platforms. Introduction of Graph search made searching applicable content on the social networking site much easier. Search just was not limited to searching people, but also for content such as movies, photos, games and even different places.

News Feed Revamp

The most used feature on the social networking website is News Feed. While the feel and look of the News Feed was same for a while, in 2013 Facebook gave it the revamp. Making it more mobile-based, Facebook’s News Feed change focused on more relevant feed. However, inclusion of promoting posts and ads did down the experience.

Stickers

Messaging and chatting on Facebook became more interesting with the introduction of stickers. Unlike the regular emoticons, stickers are elaborate, larger and character-driven. It has also included some branded stickers like Krrish, Despicable Me 2, Cut the Rope, Chumbak, and more.

Photo comments
Photo comments is the most interesting features on Facebook launched this year. The commenting is the most joyful activity because of the introduction of new features. The memes have already flooded the Facebook and made expressing/commenting opinion more interesting.

What are you doing

If selfies have not satisfied you on Facebook, the social networking availed out a very interesting feature for self-obsessed users– what are you doing. Now user can share activities such as – watching the movie, feeling, listening to music and lots more within the status bar. It might be disturbing to others in the News Feed, but is indeed a different way to show off on the Facebook.
