The game is all about forming party of powerful heroes to fight the epic battle with the help of dragon, as the battle is fought in the continent of Thedas, through the historic events. The player has to position the characters with proper game plan of the war; the units are to be placed with apt plan. The advantage of the units placed in the front row is that they get bonus stamina, whereas the units in the rear are fresh and can cause maximum destruction of the enemy. There are gems available that can enhance the power of the heroes, and to rejuvenate them by giving stamina so that they continue to play the battle game. The player can use the free gems to upgrade them to be the best by providing weapons and other items. There is a unique stamina generator that can replenish stamina and energy whenever needed, so that the heroes never run out of energy and play countless hours. If in the positioning any of the unit is not used, the same can be used to increase the energy of the favorite hero in the battle game.

In the games involving iOS and the Android, players need jailbreak for acquiring the gems or gold coins as the case may be, but in this game of Heroes of Dragon Age the same is not required, no jailbreak necessary. There are unlimited gems and gold coins available for playing the game and in addition the availability of stamina generator for elongated battle to be fought to beat the enemy.
