Google Docs gets cloud clipboard that lets you copy and paste between computers

Google has added a new feature to its Docs online office suite that lets you copy and paste text and images between spreadsheets, presentations, and documents via the cloud. The new server clipboard also lets you copy multiple items so you can re-use them later, even if you delete the originating document.

Users can copy text to the server clipboard and reuse them across multiple documents in Google Docs. Once you have copied the text using the “Copy selection to server clipboard” item from the clipboard icon, you will be able to access it across multiple documents.

The cloud also allows you to access the items you previously copied to server clipboard, as long as you were signed in with the same Google account. The server clipboard icon shows a handy preview of copied items in a submenu and lets you paste a desired item as plan text or HTML-formatted content.

The copied items will automatically expire after a month, however, if you want to clear the items, you can click on the clipboard icon and select “Clear all items” from the drop-down list. For more information about the new clipboard feature in Google Docs, visit this help page. and also visit the official blog post
