The question is that what is in the store for the fans of Samsung’s Galaxy and Apple’s iPhone? And plenty of reports are already out and so are the rumors. However, even before the launch of iPhone 5S in 2012, the talk of iPhone 6 was in the circle. Most of the information regarding iPhone 6 comes from the Asian supply chain, and few analysts in the industry.
Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors have begun only recently and the comparison of these two handsets, Galaxy S5 and the iPhone 6, to arrive in the market shortly is compiled based on the internet news, rumors and the industry talks.
Processor and performance and other features.
Certainly Apple will continue with its 64-bit architecture, even in this new iPhone 6, probably with higher speed, whether it will be termed as A7X or A8, it is expected to be twice as fast as the previous one. While it is expected that Apple would improvise upon its current 1.3 GHz dual core processor with Memory 1 GB RAM, with something better.
On the other hand Samsung is known to be developing more powerful processors and the 64-bit also. The main difference between the two being that while Apple is likely to maintain the dual core, Samsung has adopted the policy of more the merrier in the core ideology. Samsung is building further on its eight core Exynos hardware with an updated chip in Galaxy S5. The news speaks of 14 nanometer Exynos 6 chips with heterogeneous multiprocessing capacities, which means the chip can use all eight cores at a time for intensive tasks. This could mean the shorter battery life and overheating, but though the option of multitasking is available, it would not be a continuous multitasking to overload the battery, Samsung will attempt to optimize for better battery life. Another news stated that Samsung would include 4 GB RAM. Significantly Samsung has previously used both Qualcomm’s chips as well as its own Exynos hardware, though in different regional models.
The Storage capacity for iPhone 6 can be expected to be in tune with the other iPhones, 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB. Though some also expect it to be 128 GB as in case of the iPads. Whereas Samsung makes higher storage variants in their flagship Galaxy S series, but in the case of Galaxy S5 one can expect the handset with 16 GB space in the least.
Apple is almost certain to continue its Touch ID fingerprint scanner technology, even in this iPhone 6 and it would be worthwhile to know whether this technology can be used beyond unlocking the phone and purchases in iTunes. Apple may also make greater use of iBeacons technology.
