Apple Granted Another Sweeping Smartphone patent

Yet another good news has come the Apple way, after the court verdict in its favor having sought couple of weeks back. This time Apple gas been granted set of smartphone patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the patents which relate to the iPhone’s interface and the documentations required to be carried out for the same. As such, the patents cover graphical user interfaces ranging from email to Camera Roll to menu lists to the multi-touch interface. These set of patents could be said to be the most powerful weapon handed over to Apple, and definitely a nightmare for all its competitors especially the Android handset makers.

Previously, Apple had been accused of fearing Android’s growth and also the innovation pace from Google and ODM. However, the innovation and advanced technology that remained Apple’s base for all its devices, iPhones, iPad, iPods’ in particular, has led Apple to a completely different bracket. Now any new technology that enters the market is prima facie compared with Apple technology. In other words, when one mentions of technology,’ Apple’ is the brand that rings in everyone’s minds. Moreover, in the last few years Apple has successfully battled with Motorola, Samsung, and HTC with injunctions, loses, and several wins. Much more is expected to change with the entry of iPhone 5 and iPad 3.

Also, its newly launched iOS 6 has more to unveil, which will be done after integrating with the said nextgen devices yet to arrive. With the grant of another sweeping smartphone patents, Apple will continue to litigate as well as mitigate. However, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has certainly fueled more power in Apple for tackling its competitors with much more fluency.
