A Woman Buys ‘new’ iPad Air (full of someone else’s stuff)

Robin Crowley, A cop woman from Ontario, Canada was thrilled and curious to unwrap her brand new iPad Air which she bought in ‘Target’ sale on Black-Friday bargain, but was surprised to find her tablet already filled with someone else’s pictures, phone numbers and information.

Although according to Ms. Crowley the previous owner of that iPad is a California resident, but ‘Demo’ sticker imprinted on

it provides a room to assume that iPad might be the one used for in-store display and all the information content is used only for the demonstration & testing purpose.

However, ‘Target’, upon contacting cleared that- “At Target the privacy of our guests is of chief significance. We looked into the stuff and strong-minded that a guest was incorrectly sold an unopened demo unit filled with demo satisfied and no personal information was shared. We are working with our store sales teams to strengthen protocols in this regard.” Apple has yet to comment on this strange occurrence.

MS. Crowley, on the other hand, is planning to visit the shop once again to return them the ‘Used’ iPad & would insist for a petty-pack & genuinely ‘Brand new’ iPad Air that will display traditional features like setup screen instead of three pages of pre-loaded apps, hundreds of pictures of a stranger & long list of contacts.

She also shares her concern for such incident as that information in wrong hand would have created a disaster in one’s life. MS. Crowley, being a frequent shopper at Black-Friday shopping, still believes that the ‘Target’ has best deals as far as she is concerned.

So keep in mind, holiday shoppers. It’s always worth opening the box before you leave the store.

Just in case your good deal is somewhat less of a barter than you bargain for.
