India is big market for Chinese mobiles but now it comes to end on 30 November 2009 is last day for Chinese mobile or which mobile does not have IMEI Number, Indian Government has given a circular to mobile networks to block the services to the customers who does not have a valid IMEI number for their mobile phones.
November 30, 2009 may be the last day you’d receive a call and from the next day all the calls to your mobile number may be blocked by your Operator. That is if your mobile doesn’t have or have a valid International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number.
Every GSM mobile has a unique 15 digit identification number i.e. International Equipment Identity (IMEI), with the help of IMEI number we can find about mobile detais like manufacturing date and model of the handset and also we can tack lost mobile phones, their location and other details,

Mobile Standards Alliance of India (MSAI) is the authorized body in India by GSM Association (GSMA) to perform Genuine IMEI Implant program (GII). They are now working with the cellular operators and DoT to implant genuine IMEI numbers on cell phones with false IMEI as a one time Amnesty program.
For changing IMEI numbers, visit only the authorized GII (Genuine IMEI implant) centre’s setup on Govt. approved process, which can implant new geniune IMEI on handset.
The total amount for GII implant process is Rs.199 (all-inclusive). Before reaching the GII centers, you should arrange necessary documents like Voter ID card, Driving License, Passport, Ration card and passport size photo for verification process.
