Facebook had announced that it is buying the extremely popular photography app-maker named Instagram which is declared to be of $1 Billion. The Founder and CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg had announced that the acquisition in a blog post yesterday.

The blog post says as follows: “For years, we’ve focused on building the best experience for sharing photos with your friends and family. Now, we’ll be able to work even more closely with the Instagram team to also offer the best experiences for sharing beautiful mobile photos with people based on your interest.”

It is been believed that these are different experiences that some where complements each other. But in order to do this well, there is always a need to be mindful regarding keeping and building on Instagram’s Strengths and its features rather than just trying to integrate everything into Facebook.

That is the reason that why they are committed to building and growing Instagram independently. Millions of people around the world love this app, Instagram and the brand that is associated with it. The Goal of Facebook is to help and spread this app and brand to even more people.

Apple had named Instagram as its iPhone App of the year for 2011. It is also the 19th most downloaded free iPhone app of all-time. Instagram had launched an Android app just this last week.

There are many other features that are important milestone for Facebook because it is the first time that they have ever acquired a product and the company with so many users.
