1. Sign in to your Google Account in the top right corner of the Google homepage

2. Click Change background image in the bottom left corner of the Google homepage.

3. Choose where to select your background image:

• From my computer: Select an image saved on your computer.
• My Picasa Web photos: Select an image from your Picasa Web Albums.
• Public gallery: Select from public photos featured in Picasa Web Albums.
• Editor’s picks: Select from a set of Google recommended images.

4. Once you’ve chosen your image, click Select at the bottom of the window. It may take a moment before your new Google homepage background appears.

You can remove your background image at any time by clicking Remove image and it will removed from home page of Google.

Google explained, “We’ve heard college students in particular really appreciate getting their voicemail sent to their e-mail, sending free text messages and reading voicemail transcriptions rather than listening to messages (especially handy while in class).”

So if you’re a student, submit your email address and a Google Voice invite will arrive in your inbox within 24 hours. Keep in mind that only one invite will be be sent per email address and Google Voice is currently only available in the U.S.

there is also news from some days that Google will use Chrome OS to run Google tablet but now today New York Times reported that Google tablet will use android OS, It isn’t clear if they will just run plain old Android 2.1 for example, on the tablet where everything is just spaced out more on the screen, or if a specific Android Tablet Edition OS will be made.

Google say they believe this initiative will help our users in the following ways:

• When users download Chrome, they will also receive the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. There will be no need to install Flash Player separately.
• Users will automatically receive updates related to Flash Player using Google Chrome’s auto-update mechanism. This eliminates the need to manually download separate updates and reduces the security risk of using outdated versions.
• With Adobe’s help, we plan to further protect users by extending Chrome’s “sandbox” to web pages with Flash content.

Improving the traditional browser plug-in model will make it possible for plug-ins to be just as fast, stable, and secure as the browser’s HTML and JavaScript engines. Over time this will enable HTML, Flash, and other plug-ins to be used together more seamlessly in rendering and scripting.

The new Google Mobile app has been optimized for both touchscreen smartphones with the addition of features such as search by voice, which allows users to make a search by speaking their query by holding the green call button rather than typing it. The feature is currently available in English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese only.
